Kefalonia
A special Greek island in the Ionian Sea that holds many happy family memories
for me as a kid. It’s a place that I go back to, time, after time.
I stay in the same hotel in a town called Lixouri, where the owner (Spiros) is now in his
mid 90s. Without fail, each morning, he sits in his own spot at breakfast, overlooking his guests enjoying their coffee and breakfasts.
Going out for an early morning run along by the sea in Lixouri, just as the sun is rising,
has to be one of my favourite things to do.
